Friction without Fighting:
How to inhabit conflict in an improvised scene
Conflict can be confusing in an art form that uses "Yes, And" as a guiding principle. Yet conflict is a part of life as we navigate our own needs and desires in a complicated world. This workshop will use discussion and theater games to explore how conflict styles inform our characters and scenes. Instead of avoiding conflict or asserting dominance to squash it, we can learn how to work with conflict cooperatively for rich and engaging performances.
