Improv for Teens
Ignite your creative spark, build confidence and create community!
This teen improv class is for student actors, performers, or anyone who wants to have a little fun and build some confidence! In a supportive and encouraging environment, students will explore the foundations of Sound Improv and have an opportunity to test out new skills, be a little vulnerable, and be silly and playful with some amazing fellow performers.

Teacher Bio: Maddy Gourlay is a local actor and singer in the Portland area. Maddy grew up performing in plays, musicals, theatre troupes, and various singing groups, including competitive vocals at the high school and collegiate level. They have worked as a performing arts camp counselor and vocal coach and recently taught elementary school for four years in the Tigard-Tualatin school district. They have spent the last 8 years performing with a handful of theatre companies around Portland, and the last year and a half honing their Sound Improv skills as a student and ensemble member with Deep End Theater. They are excited to continue working with young people, this time teaching improv!
